UFC 202 Open Workouts: Conor McGregor Cusses Out The Diaz Brothers and Their Fans

Conor McGregor unloads on Nate Diaz while channelling Tupac Shakur.

Conor McGregor turned up the heat in the ever-evolving and exciting saga that is the McGregor vs Diaz feud.

The open workouts are typically relaxed affair, where fighters take some time to put on a show for fans, while allowing the media to capture some extra footage for the B-roll. Pretty standard stuff. And while Nate Diaz followed the trend by throwing laid-back spinning kicks and tossing t-shirts into the crowd, Conor Mcgregor took the complete opposite approach and used the opportunity to steal back the show and send a message to the Stockton, California natives.

After a brief workout, an intense and fired up McGregor ignored Megan Olivi’s crowd-related question and instead grabbed the microphone to bellow, “F**k the Diaz brothers. F**k those cockroaches”. But that wasn’t all. A few media questions later and the Irishman decided he’d had enough. When asked about the professionalism of Team Diaz walking out of the previous day’s press conference, McGregor doubled down on his comments in true Tupac Shakur style and shouted, “F**k team Diaz! And if you’re down with Team Diaz, then f**k you too”. Mic drop.
